About
Having obtained Ph D in Foods and Nutrition from Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer, Dr. Barkha Bhatnagar is a National Eligibility Test (NET) and State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) qualified academician and researcher with 16 years of experience. She has been a Research Fellow in one Major Research Project sponsored by University Grant Commission. She is credited with supervision of more than thirty Research Dissertations at postgraduate level. She has also supervised two PhD scholars. She has published seventeen research papers in National and International Journals and has a feather of editing two books titled “Scientific Approaches for Performance Enhancement” and “Training Strategies for Performance Enhancement” to her cap besides being on the editorial board of Special Issue of MR International Journal of Applied Health Sciences. She is a life member of Indian Dietetic Association (IDA).
Dr. Barkha headed the Scientific Committee for 7th Asia Pacific Conference of Exercise and Sports Science (APCESS-2015) and Indo Japanese Conclave-III (2017) organized by Faculty of Applied Science of Manav Rachna International University (MRIU) and participated and presented papers & posters at various workshops, seminars and conferences organized by different organizations. She was also invited as a speaker at the 8th IPEIC, Thailand, Bangkok.
Dr. Barkha also worked as an Expert Advisor for Nestle R&D Centre India Pvt Ltd.
She is a member of Course Preparation Team of BBCET-141 Nutritional Biochemistry Book Published by IGNOU. She has been bestowed with Outstanding Woman Researcher Award in Nutrition and Dietetics under the category of Medicine and Health Science by Venus International Foundation, Chennai in March 2023.
