Department of Audiology & Speech Language Pathology

The department of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology was established in 2017, with an aim to provide rehabilitation services to individuals with speech, language, cognitive communication, swallowing, hearing and vestibular disorders. The department has started Bachelor’s programme in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology in the year 2019 which is registered under Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).  Speech Language Pathologist and Audiologist (ASLP) provide a range of services, which includes the assessment and management of various speech, language and hearing disorders. ASLP’s also plays crucial role in counseling the families and creating public awareness. The main aim of Speech Language Pathologist and Audiologist is to improve the communication ability of people with special needs and thus, to improve the quality of life.

Vision:

The Department of Audiology & Speech Language Pathology will serve as a center for excellence, commitment to professional education, basic and translational research in speech, language and hearing science and direct clinical services including community education. These activities will be dedicated to improve the quality of life for individuals affected with speech language & hearing disorders across their life span. The department will cultivate excellent, creative, interdisciplinary and diverse approaches to research and clinical practices in the fields of Speech & Hearing.

Detailed evaluation and management of voice, stammering, child language disorders, Misarticulation, Neuro-Communication disorders

Speech Therapy

Swallowing disorders

Demonstration therapy

Parent and family counselling
