Department of Ophthalmology, Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences and Optometry, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, SGT University, under the aegis of SGT Ophthalmological Association and Oculus Academy organised a workshop on “- Tips and Tricks for Evaluation of Proptosis” on 24thJan, 2022.
The workshop was aimed at upgrading the skills of Residents, Optometry Students and faculty of Ophthalmology & Optometry in the techniques of Comprehensive Evaluation of patients of Proptosis in both paediatric and adult age group. Orbit being a “’ ”,it is always challenging to diagnose various orbital conditions which cause proptosis and a proper detailed evaluation of proptosis helps us to manage these patients adequately well in time both residents and faculty of Ophthalmology and Optometrist will upgrade their knowledge with this workshop.
After a brief inauguration by Prof (Brig) Chander Mohan, Director Hospital Administration, Prof Dr.A.K.Khurana, Prof & Head, Dept of Ophthalmology, welcomed the dignitaries and guest faculty and highlighted the importance of this workshop.
The Guest Speaker Dr Neebha Anand, Professor & Head, Peadiatric Ophthalmology and Oculoplasty Unit RIO, PGIMS, Rohtak, has a rich teaching and clinical experience. She is Squint and oculoplasty Specialist of national repute. She has more than 70 publications in indexed Journals. She has many Presentations at national & International forums, as invited Guest Faculty. The workshop began with a lecture on the various aspects of the topic followed by Hands on Demonstration of all the important and essential steps and tests.
