On the occasion of “POSHAN MAAH-2019” Nutri-Care Association, Department of Nutrition & Dietetics, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, SGT University organized Nutrition Campaign at Government Secondary School, Village Khurumpur Kheda, Farrukhnagar, Gurgram on 3rd September 2019.The campaign was conducted under the supervision of Dr. G. B. Bhatt, Dr. Vatsala Saharan and Dr. Meenu Sirohi. Awareness related to current nutritional issues like, malnutrition, anemia, sanitation, health and hygiene, healthy lifestyle and dietary habits was created among the school children by the students of Nutrition and Dietetics with the help of “Nukkad Natak”. The school children were aware about the importance of a balance diet and the ill impact of junk food on their health. Information regarding sanitation and hygiene was imparted to them through participatory lecture and demonstration. Counseling session was also organized for the faculty members of the school. Queries of the students and faculty members regarding, diet and health issues were also resolved by the faculty members of SGT University. The faculty members of the school appreciated the effort made by Nutri Care Association of SGT University as this session was very helpful for them in resolving their doubts.
