A team of two nutrition professionals (Dr. G B Bhatt and Dr. Vatsala) visited the village Khurrampur – Kheda, Farukh nagar, Gurugram, Haryana. In a door to door step rapid nutritional screening of 40 children under five were done with the help of tricolor MAC tape. Mothers of children below five years of age were educated regarding child nutrition and guidance was given for preparation of home based complementary foods. Village women were sensitized regarding role of nutrition for health and well being. Lactating mothers and village women were counsel regarding nutritional issues by the nutrition experts at their door step and advised to adopt good dietary practices.
