Industrial visit was carried out at Rana Eye Center Rohini Delhi for the students of Bachelor of Optometry (1st, 2nd, 3rd-year & Interns). The main objective of the visit was to explore our students about various types of advanced instrumentation in the field of Ophthalmology. Dr. Ashwani Ghai, Assist. Professor accompanied the students. The students were introduced to Diagnostic and Dispersive departments by the trainers of the Hospital.
The students were explained by the procedures:
- FFA, OCT, Double frequency Yag Laser, Emersion Biometry, etc.
- How to dispense spectacles, measurement and fitting procedures and troubleshooting of various types of glasses.
Students got a chance to transfer their theoretical knowledge to the practical implication. This helped students to understand the subject matter in a better way. The students appreciated the Rana Eye Center for the support it provided to make the visit a success story.
