Dr. Promod Mehta

About
Dr. Promod Mehta is an expert in the field of ‘Tuberculosis Research’, and has been working in this area for the last 30 years. He has a Ph.D. degree (Microbiology) from Punjab University, Chandigarh (1988) and postdoctoral research training from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Atlanta, USA (1994-96) and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, NE, USA (1999-01). Dr Mehta served as a Lecturer-Associate Professor (Microbiology) for about 20 years in Delhi University College. He availed several opportunities to work as a Visiting Assistant Professor in good labs in USA on academic leave from Delhi University. He worked as a Professor, Centre for Biotechnology (CBT), MD University, Rohtak for ~10 years and as a Director for three years (2015-18). He also worked as an Emeritus Scientist (CSIR) at CBT, MDU, Rohtak for more than three years. Dr Mehta acquired extramural funding from UGC, ICMR, DBT and DST to support his research. He has 59 publications in reputed International Journals to his credit. He presented many papers and oral talks, and published many abstracts in various national and international seminars/conferences.
