An Educational visit to Government High School, village Laharpur, District Jhajjar was organized by Department of Nutrition & Dietetics, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences on 27th February, 2017 for M.Sc and B.Sc students. The purpose of the visit was to acquaint the student about the Mid Day Meal Scheme which is a Government approach to improve the nutritional status of school age children nationwide. Students came to learn how the meal is prepared in schools. Everyday different menu which is pre decided by the Government is served to the students. Nutritional Education was also given to the students of that school. The staff was very cooperative and also guided the students about how the nutritional calculation is done. Overall session was learning for the students.
